EXIT Exhibition, a platform that will bring all five years of academic work of the final year students in public domain with the purpose of placement giving an opportunity to interact with professionals like Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, Planners and Builders/Developers. This exhibition also provides young aspirants exposed into the field of architecture. Crossroads under Exit Exhibition holds two events Carving your Niche gives our alumni students a platform to showcase their professional journey and Architecture as a career for the young aspirants' giving exposure to the field of architecture and the associated output from the Course.

Join the Future of Architecture at Padmabhushan Dr. Vasantdada Patil College of Architecture, Pirangut, Pune!


Managed by the Vivekanand Institute of Technology, a charitable trust committed to excellence in education and social service, our college is headed by Chairman Adv. Abhayji Chhajed, with the dedicated management of Secretary Shri Jitendra Pitaliya and mentorship of renowned architect Vikas Bhandari.


Founded in 1995, our institute is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and recognized by the Council of Architecture (New Delhi), All India Council for Technical Education (New Delhi), and the Director of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra.


We proudly operate from our own premises in Pirangut, offering a range of programs:

▪️ Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.): A 5-year full-time course with an intake of 80 students.

▪️ Postgraduate Courses:

- Landscape Architecture (2 years, started in 2016)

- Urban Design (2 years, started in 2017)

- Construction Management (2 years, starting in 2024-25)

- Each postgraduate course has an intake of 20 students.


Admissions are conducted through the central admission process managed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra.


Our faculty comprises dedicated, well-experienced professionals with significant exposure to both academia and the industry. Under the mentorship of Director Ar. Prasanna Desai, we aim to impart technical and professional knowledge on par with the best institutions globally, focusing on academic excellence and holistic individual growth.


Accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2023-24, we are recognized as one of the premier institutions for architectural education.

POD- process of design, where 8 National jury members including Ar. Anand Krishnamurthy, Ar. Vikas Dilawari, Ar. PVK Rameshwar, Ar. Vijay Narnapatti, Ar. Sanjay Kanvinde, Ar. Tanuja Kanvinde, Ar. Surya Kakani and Ar. I.M. Chishti presented one of their projects from conception to completion. This was followed by the Exit Exhibition where all the students of the graduating 2024 B. Arch. batch displayed their academic journey of 5 years.

VIT's PVPCOA Thesis Jury for the 5th year B.Arch students was held on Friday, 5 April 2024.

This year, the Jury was an intense academic event with 8 panels and 16 external domain experts from all over the country. The esteemed jury panel comprised of Prof. I M Chishti, Ar. Sanjay Kanvinde, and Tanuja Kanvinde from Delhi, Prof. PVK Rameshwar and Surya Kakkani from Ahmedabad, Ar. Anand Krishnamurthy and Ar. Vijay Narnapatti from Bangalore, and Ar. Vikas Dilawari from Mumbai. The panel also included renowned experts from Pune like Ar. Vikram Hundekar, Ar. Manish Banker, Ar. Anjali Kumthekar, Ar. Dwaipayan Chakravarthy, Ar. Jayanth Dharap, Ar. Ravi Kadam, Ar. Beck John, and Ar. Tushar Kothawade.

Additionally, every panel was supported by the in-house guides and other faculty members. Students had the opportunity to listen to multiple perspectives from subject domain experts and were exposed to ideas and references from all the experts.

PVPCoA Thesis Jury deliberations continued till late hours of the day, followed by the sum-up session, which brought all the jury members, faculty team, and students together. Discussions ranged from scales and perspectives, philosophies of teaching, limitations of approaches to projects, and how to keep oneself motivated through this 5-year intense journey. The entire panel motivated students to develop individuality and let their designs speak of their personalities and philosophies.
