Events at PVPCOA

At PVP CoA, we concern ourselves with the overall development of the student so that the academically competent professional is also a balanced and sensitive human being.
To reinforce the syllabi, academics, site visits, expert subject lectures, jury reviews of Academic projects, etc. are regularly conducted under “ Academic Events” so that students get connected to the practical applications of the subject.
The “Co Academic Events” are organized to test the students' understanding through Quiz competitions, Presentation techniques enhancement and participation or organization of architectural competitions on certain themes.
The “Co Curricular Events'' aim to bring out the hidden talents oof students through sports and cultural competitions. Such events truly build and boost students' personalities.
All these events are minutely planned and executed to perfection with Enthusiastic participation of Faculty, Administration as well as students.

Join the Future of Architecture at Padmabhushan Dr. Vasantdada Patil College of Architecture, Pirangut, Pune! Managed by the Vivekanand Institute of Technology, a charitable trust committed to excellence in education and social service, our college is headed by Chairman Adv. Abhayji Chhajed, with the dedicated management of Secretary Shri Jitendra Pitaliya and mentorship of renowned architect Vikas Bhandari. Founded in 1995, our institute is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and recognized by the Council of Architecture (New Delhi), All India Council for Technical Education (New Delhi), and the Director of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. We proudly operate from our own premises in Pirangut, offering a range of programs:
  • Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.): A 5-year full-time course with an intake of 80 students.
  • Postgraduate Courses
  • Urban Design (2 years, started in 2017)
  • Construction Management (2 years, starting in 2024-25)
  • Each postgraduate course has an intake of 20 students.
Admissions are conducted through the central admission process managed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra.

We aim to contextualize the Urban Design programme by exploring critical inquiries into urban, rurban, and rural contexts, and responding to these through design at the local level, while being mindful of their regional context. At the same time, the programme acknowledges and engages with international discourses, transforming the course into an Urban Design Laboratory.

EXIT Exhibition, a platform that will bring all five years of academic work of the final year students in public domain with the purpose of placement giving an opportunity to interact with professionals like Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, Planners and Builders/Developers. This exhibition also provides young aspirants exposed into the field of architecture. Crossroads under Exit Exhibition holds two events Carving your Niche gives our alumni students a platform to showcase their professional journey and Architecture as a career for the young aspirants' giving exposure to the field of architecture and the associated output from the Course.
