“We believe in creating sensitive and socially conscious architects who can contribute in shaping our built environment”

Above line is the slogan or philosophy of PVP College of Architecture. The difference that we intend to make in the society is through creating young minds which are sensitive to the surrounding society and which will help shaping the built environment which will benefit the society. PVP College of Architecture with the intent of being true to their above slogan have this hypothesis of considering the entire City, as a “Laboratory” for students of Architecture where studio explorations are shared with the “People” & findings are put forth for discussions & reactions from the people. Students interact with the real world, real day to day life of real people, thus making the design resolutions more significant to the real world. The different dimensions of Designs which emerge of such a lateral process not only benefits the student, but goes beyond in giving “Design based solutions” for the various existing “Issues faced by our Cities” Since 2010, our Institute is consciously following the above philosophy in the Design studios & also through various workshops & initiatives taken, where the “Public Domain” has been the Prime focus.

The various projects done under public domain are put forth in this book as compilations under following categories.

A) Studio projects – Projects done as part of Architectural design studios of various years
B) People Participatory Workshops – student Workshops focusing on Design processes evolving out of People participation.
